For a minute there, I shied away from doing these emails. One person in the camping group I helped organize died suddenly, and I did not feel right continuing to go along with things. I also felt bad accidentally signing some poor kid up for a charity event he would not attend. So I started to tell the truth.
Lesson learned? First off, I'm not the only trickster Ben, which is comforting. Second, that people have a hard time believing that they're wrong. And who am I to tell them otherwise? I guess my only choice is to let them learn for themselves, through reductio ad absurdum. And I guess try not to be too evil.
